Steve Shamblin: Bio
The Lord called Steve to missions in 1972. He began with Youth With A Mission, (YWAM: the world’s largest inter-denominational mission organization who Billy Graham would use for discipleship training after his crusades). Steve initially went to the Munich Olympics where he saw miracles and wonders. He was blessed to sit under teachers like Corrie Tin Boom and smuggle Bibles to communist countries under Brother Andrew. Then Loren Cunningham, the founder of YWAM, asked him to join Dr. Bruce Thompson to develop Biblical Counseling Schools for YWAM, which took about 4 years to see it fully birthed.

Steve was then commissioned to go and speak to the nations as the Lord allowed and God opened doors for him to teach about the Bible and what he had learned from a Christian counseling perspective. While in Asia, the Lord brought Rev. Ken Wright into his life as a “Father and Mentor”, where they would then travel all over Europe, Asia and Africa together. It was during his time with Ken, and he praying over him, that a lot of God’s gifting and anointing came.

Steve has served as an International Speaker to the Body of Christ for nearly 50 years now. Extensively ministering internationally throughout Asia, Pacific, Europe, Africa, and the United States, a few years ago, the Lord led Steve to return to Kona, Hawaii to be a mentor for their leaders at YWAM. The Lord used that to bring Steve into a new arena for ministry, mentoring. Steve now functions as a pastor/teacher … and counselor/mentor/spiritual father all by the grace and blessing of the Lord. He regularly mentors sixteen pastors in Africa, several pastors here in North Carolina, as well as a number of leaders and individuals who have asked if he would pour into them all that Lord has given him. Steve speaks not only in all the various YWAM schools, but now does Leadership Training, Counseling Training, and Mentoring for their staff’s and for Pastor’s and their staff.
Steve is very grateful for all the Lord has done and allowed and gives HIM all the credit and glory. He is submitted and accountable to a number of people here and in other parts of the world and most of all to the Lord as he does all he can to walk in the fear of the Lord. Steve is licensed and ordained through Logos Christian University and has a 501c3 through them.
Steve is happily married to his wife, Denise. And then have one grown daughter, and two grandchildren. He is grateful for all the Lord has allowed and blessed him with. And we here at Harvest Stone Ministries are blessed to have him partner with us.
